I’m Lara, a predominantly self-taught artist based in Cardiff, inspired by the Welsh landscape and its ever-changing light. Working primarily with a palette knife, I paint in a bold, expressive way, building rich texture and atmosphere across the canvas. I’m especially drawn to the drama and movement of the sky, from shifting light to stormy weather, and my aim is to create paintings that capture the feeling of being there in the moment.
